I thought this was fun! I always knew that both of the girls looked more like Lance than they looked like me. These seem to agree, but not by as much as I thought they would. I guess the girls are a pretty good mix of both of us...

Weekend with Daddy

This past weekend Lance watched the girls so that I could go enjoy a weekend of scrapbooking with my sister and a few friends. THANKS AGAIN, BABE!!!

I think the girls loved having alone time with Daddy. They had a weekend full of fun!! Here are a few pictures of their time together. They think Daddy is the COOLEST because he took them to the Wiggly Play Center when they just had a blast!!! They also got to go to the movie store and rent a couple of movies.

Scrapbook Weekend

This past weekend Lance watched the girls so that I could go to a scrapbooking weekend with some friends. Here are some of the layouts that I did while I was there...

Story Time at the Library

Every 3rd Thursday of the month the girls and I go to story time at the city library with a group of friends from church. The girls have a great time and really look forward to it every month. After story time, Gracie gets to pick out 2 library books to take home. Today was a special day because Gwynie got to pick out her very first library book too.

Today was neat because we also got to watch a puppet show!!!

After story time, you get a stamp. Gracie LOVES stamps, but Gwynie doesn't usually want to participate. Today she did and was SO proud of her stamp...

She kept holding her hand up to the camera saying "cheese" so that I would take more pictures of her super cool stamp.

Gwyneth picking out her library book!! The library has two big shelves of board books that the parents don't have to worry about the kids getting out of order, which is very nice.

We found our books and took a few minutes to sit down with our friends and looks through our new library books. See you next month everyone!!!

Way to go Sara!!!

I just wanted to write a quick post to congratulate my friend Sara. She got news today that she passed all of the sections of the ARE (Architectural Registration Exam). For those not familiar with the ARE, this is a HUGE accomplishment several years in the making. Now all she has to do is wait for the State to issue her architectural license. Way to go Sara...we are so proud of you!!!

Movie Night with Daddy

Daddy and Gracie have many things in common but two big ones are that they love MOVIES and POPCORN. One of their favorite things to do together is to go to the movie theater to catch the latest kid flick. For Christmas Mommy gave Daddy a Media Room (Ha Ha) and Nana & Paw Paw gave him a popcorn maker. So tonight as a special treat, Gracie got to eat homemade popcorn and watch the "big screen" with Daddy. She had a great time...

Visit from Nana, Paw Paw, Aunt Sue Sue & Uncle Jack

They all drove in today to come visit and to see the house. The girls had such a fun time playing and visiting with everyone. Aunt Kathy, Uncle Tony & Nathan came by too. The girls were so exhausted from all the excitement that they crashed as soon as we got home from lunch. Thanks for coming by everyone and Nana & Paw Paw...Thanks for the new boots.

Gwyneth's 1st Pigtails

Gwyneth will usually sit long enough for me to get one ponytail on top of your head...pepples style, but that is it. She doesn't have the patience for me to do much more to her hair yet. However, today I asked her if she wanted to do her hair like sissy's and she was all for it. She kept still the whole time and I was able to put in her first real pigtails...

Celebrating Christmas at Grams & Grumps!!!

We just got back from Amarillo...what a great trip!! The whole family was in town and we spent the weekend visiting and relaxing and just had a wonderful time. We also opened all of the Christmas presents from everyone and received all kinds of goodies. We hated that we weren't with either one of our families on Christmas, but it was sort of fun to spread Christmas out over a couple of weeks. I think the girls think Christmas is an on going holiday now. Thank you all for the wonderful presents, you were all just too sweet...I guess Santa had us on his "Nice" list this year!!!

We had a blast visiting and playing with all of our nieces and nephews!! One of the highlights of our trip was seeing our nephew Calvin (Shout out from the other "Brown Eyed Bear"!!). Calvin is 9 and is just growing like a weed. Our schedule of when we would go to Amarillo has coincided with Calvin's schedule of visiting his Dad for the last several trips, so it was such a blessing that we were all together. We also took a picture of Grams & Grumps and the grandkids that turned out pretty cute...

Don't worry Grumps...we are sending you a copy! ;)
