Celebrating Gwyneth’s 3rd Birthday

I can’t believe that Gwynie is 3 years old.  It really feels like she was just born…how has over 1,000 days already done by? When Gracie turned 3 I was like 10 months pregnant with Gwynie so this birthday just seems even more unbelievable.

We woke Gwynie up with our special birthday alarm {singing happy birthday}.  She was not as excited to be woken up as her big sister, but I think in a couple of years she will be!

After she realized what was going on she wanted to run down stairs to open her presents!DSC_0190 (2)

Gracie ran down stairs so she could meet her with her GIANT Birthday card!!

DSC_0195 (2)Every day when Lance or I go to get the mail Gwyneth asks us if there is a birthday card in there for her.  This is not just every once in a while it’s EVERY time.  She LOVES getting mail.  So Lance saw this GIANT birthday card and just had to get it for her {super sweet Daddy}. Gwynie loved how huge it was and I love the picture of her trying to hold it.

Present time…

Right now Gwynie is really into Care Bears and Little Einstein's. She also LOVES puzzles and coloring!

I think Gwynie had a pretty good 3rd birthday!  She got to bring donuts holes to school {these were a must…she would not even consider cupcakes}. She was able to decorate her own birthday crown and received a blessing at chapel.  After school Gracie & I treated her to a “birthday milkshake”.  Gracie had a softball game that night, but after it was over Gwynie got to choose were she got to have her birthday dinner…she chose Peter Piper Pizza of course!

We love you Gwyneth and thank God everyday that the Lord blessed us with you!

Happy Birthday Gwynie!!!

6 and 3…I can’t believe it

Every year we take the girls to get their “birthday” pictures taken.  We usually go to Kiddie Kandids or somewhere like that. However, right now I am in love with having the girls pictures taken outside, so this year I asked my friends at lkl creations to capture the girls pictures.  She did such an amazing job on our Christmas Card pictures so I was super excited to see how these turned out.

I have to say that the day these pictures were taken Gwyneth probably hit the climax {I hope} of her terrible 2’s.  Lauren was so sweet and patient the whole time and as you will see below, managed to take some beautiful pictures of our little girls.  {If you click on the “View Entire Album” link at the bottom right of each photo album you will be able to see additional pictures} Enjoy…

A Long Time Coming!!

After countless trips to the dentist and hearing “they will fall out any day” for the last 3 1/2 years…I am happy to report that Gracie has FINALLY lost one of her front teeth.DSC_0187 (3)For those of you who don’t know Gracie injured her front two teeth when she was 2 1/2 while playing with friends on a seesaw.  Then about a week after that she tripped over a kid at her day care and landed {you guessed it} on her mouth.  I am shocked that those teeth have hung in there this long.  I just wanted them to stay in until she started actually losing teeth, which they did.  For that I am grateful.  The one that fell out {actually pulled our by yours truly} was the one that had discolored the most…YEAH! I really don’t think the other one is far behind.  Where have I heard that before? ;)

No one is more excited than Gracie!  She is thrilled to have her “hurt teeth” behind her and anticipating the sparkling white ones to come.

Whew, I Think I'm Caught Up...For Now.

Mother's Day 2009

What a great day I had! I have been so blessed by Gracie, Gwynie & Lance the last few days. Earlier in the week they took be shopping for some new clothes. That turned into quite an interesting event when a strong storm blew through town and the tornado sirens started going off while we were in the store. Nothing happened and after a brief time spent in the center of the store we were able to go back to shopping as usual.

Then today the girls gave me all the cards & pictures they made me at school...too sweet. We went to church and then to lunch. After lunch Lance put Gwynie down for her nap then took Gracie out for a while so I could just hangout and relax. It was so nice...thanks babe! When they got back home Gracie brought me an icee (my favorite), beautiful flowers, cupcakes (yum) and a very special gift. Lance took her to a store and let her completely pick out a new outfit for me. She was so excited for me to open it and try it on. What do you think...She got me a head-to-toe cowgirl outfit! I have to say that I am impressed...Gracie has great taste! You can't see the shoes she got me too well, but they are AWESOME!!! She did tell me that the cowgirl hat was hers...she was just letting me borrow it because it was Mother's day.

All that boot smell from the clothes made me have flashbacks to my sophomore year in high school when I went through my "kicker" stage, HA! They have come a long way in "cowgirl" attire in the past 15 years.

Thank you so much Gracie, Gwynie & Daddy! I had an amazing day! I LOVE YOU!!!

Happy Mother's Day to Nana, Grams & Great Grams too, we hope you had a wonderful day!

P.S. -We recently had some professional pictures taken of the girls. I will be posting those soon.
