Sunday...That's My Funday!!!

We had a fun relaxing weekend. Saturday Lance took Gracie to her first softball practice, which she loved. Then we took the girls to get their haircut (one of their favorite things to do). Then we met Nana, Paw Paw, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Tony & Nathan for dinner. We had so much fun chatting and visiting.

Then yesterday we got up bright & early and went to a wonderful church service!! After Gracie's choir practice that afternoon we ate dinner then took the girls to the playground at Gracie's school which they both thought was GREAT!

We ended our fun day by going out for ice cream...YUM!

It was a wonderful family filled weekend!

Valentine's Day 2009

Lance and I had a great Valentine's. We weren't supposed to do anything for each other...our dinner out was going to be our gift. But Lance knew better and didn't listen to me. HA! He surprised me with a few appointments that I have been saying that I wanted to do, but just haven't made time for. He made me a hair appointment and I got a manicure & pedicure. It was very sweet and very much appreciated...and needed. ;) After all that fun stuff I went out and got a new dress to wear for the evening. Every year our church hosts a Vow Renewal on the weekend closest to Valentine's Day. But this year it actually fell on Valentine's which was fun. We got all dressed up went the the vow renewal and then went out to dinner afterwards.

Our plan was just to pick a restaurant after the church service was over like we do every year. It didn't even occur to us that it was ACTUALLY Valentine's Day and that we would need a reservation every where we went. So after hearing from a few friends at church that they ALL had the made reservations we were thinking we were going to have our Valentine's Dinner at McDonald's. Our friends Beth & Rich offered to make their reservation for 2 a reservation for 4 which was very sweet, but we didn't want to crash their date night. But right before we left some other friends of ours said that they had made a reservation for 8 and one of the couples was unable to make it at the last minute and asked if we would like to join them. Since it was already a group dinner we didn't feel as bad about crashing their date night.

We had a lot of fun! Good friends & good food make for a great time!! Thanks Hendrix, Chalkers & Leslies for letting us tag along.

Daddy Daughter Dance 2009

This was Gracie & Lance's first year to go the the Daddy Daughter Dance. Gracie was SOOOOO excited about it!

Here is Gracie all dress up for the ball...
Going down stair to see her prince...

I absolutely LOVED the way she walked down the stairs

Her prince (and mine) waiting patiently...
Prince & Princess together before the big Ball...
It was just a nice day that we decided to take a few pictures outside too...
That had an absolutely great time at the dance. She saw a bunch of friends from church and a few from school. From what it sounds like they danced the night away. Here are a few shots that Gracie & Lance took at the dance...

Until next year...

Kathy's Birthday Party!

Last night several family & friends met up at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse to celebrate Kathy's 29th Birthday. We had so much fun. This was the girls first time at a hibachi table and they LOVED it. Gracie wished all restaurants cook right in front of you and Gwynie was doing her impression of the hibachi chef's knife tricks with forks all night.

Thanks so much for inviting us Kathy. We love you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

100th Day of School

Today Gracie had to bring in a 100th day of school project to her class. We brainstormed some ideas of different ideals for the last few days. She decided on eye balls...greeeeeat. At first I thought about having her cut pictures of eyes out of magazines or have her take a picture of 100 different eyes and then just display them on a poster board. I talked with Kathy (the best Kindergarten teach ever) and she suggested a t-shirt...so smart. Then after some more brainstorming we came up with googly eyes. The shirt turned out pretty cute and Gracie was really excited to wear it today. Here are a few pictures...

Time to start counting out the googly eyes

okay...we have our 100!!

Now for the fun part, gluing on the eyeballs

Just a couple more to go and...

Tah Dah...The finished project!!!

Gracie on the 100th day of school!!!
