Oh well, maybe next time

This last week has been pretty busy with interest in our house. As I posted last week, we had a couple that was very interested and came for a 2ND showing. Well, we never heard anything back from them other that what I posted, so we assume they have moved on. Then Saturday we got word that a different couple was going to make an offer to either our house or a spec home of our floor plan that the builder has in inventory. They decided to make us an offer!! We were very excited. They gave us a pretty low offer, which we countered to meet them half way. They countered again, but didn't come close to where we were, so we decided to not accept their offer. Plus, they were attempting to use some (not so nice) negotiating tactics, so we just decided that it was in both parties best interest for each to move on. Which means that we are back at square one. I know the right buyer is out there...we just have to wait for them. And with God's help, that is just what we plan to do.

Rainy Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Gracie had a field trip yesterday to a local pumpkin patch in the torrential rains yesterday. They were able to move everything inside and all the kids seemed to have a fun time. I didn't bring my camera with me because I just knew that the field trip would be cancelled. Gracie's room mom took some pictures that she said she was going to post were we could download them. Once she does that I will add some here.

2nd Showing Update

So we had the second showing yesterday. It was just as we thought. The wife has been looking at houses while her husband is out of town. She narrowed it down to 5 houses. The good news is that after looking at the houses again, ours is the only one still on the list. Their realtor said that the husband had to leave to catch a plane and their kids were fussing, so they didn't really get a chance to discuss their decision (been there). Lance told our realtor to let them know that even thought it's just been two weeks, we are motivated sellers. Please pray that God's Will prevails in this situation. I know that the couple is living is temporary housing while their looking for a house (been there too) and the husband travels a lot. I also pray for peace in their situation...it's not easy. New houses come on the market everyday for them to look at, so we will see what happens.

A 2nd Showing!!!

Keep us in your prayers...we have a second showing tomorrow!!! I am not going to get my hopes up, but it's promising. A lady and her 2 little daughters came by to look at the house last week and she is bringing her husband back to look at it tomorrow. I assume that we are on the list of several that she is taking him to, but better on the list than not. I will let you know what we find out!!!

We prayed before we put our house on the market to ask God to guide us in our decision if we should stay or move. We felt that putting our house on the market would be a pretty easy way to find out. It's all in His hands...but prayers of course don't hurt! ;)

Planting Flowers With Daddy!!!

Lance decided to plant some fall color in the front and back yards today. The girls had a GREAT time helping Daddy! Here is a slide show of their big planting job!!!

Quick trip to A-town

We went down to Austin Friday & Saturday to visit with Nana & Paw Paw and to pick-up the bookcase that Dad and Lance built. The girls had a blast. Gracie and Nana were in the kitchen most of the time making all sorts of yummies. We had Banana Pudding, Chicken Fricassee, Tacos, muffins...Nana and Gracie made sugar cookies that all the girls iced together. Uncle Mike, Aunt Sue & Uncle Jack all came over to visit on Saturday...it was nice to see them.

I went off and forgot my camera. So, I don't have any pictures to post. I did take pictures. However, they were taken on Mom & Dad's and Aunt Sue & Uncle Jack's cameras. If I ever see those pictures again I will post them. Just kidding. I was giving them all a hard time this weekend because I never see pictures that they have taken. They go onto their computers, never to be seen again. ;)

We really had fun! Thanks Mom & Dad again for all that you did for the girls and Lance & I...we really appreciate you!

One Week Down...

It's been a full week since we put our house on the market. No takers yet, but there has been a lot of interest. The girls and I had to leave the house 3 times yesterday for showings. It is a pain, but I hope it keeps up! Just in case you want to check it out, here is our internet listing...
