So much to be Thankful for!!!

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Amarillo and had a wonderful time! It was four days full of family, food and fun!

We drove into Amarillo late Tuesday night. The guys got up and went hunting on Wednesday, while the gals got things going for Thanksgiving dinner. Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful as usual!! It was really good to see all the family! There was one very important person missing though...Calvin! Calvin spent Thanksgiving with his Dad, and we REALLY missed him. Hopefully we will get to see you at Christmas buddy!

The rest of the time was spent visiting, eating and a bit of shopping here and there. Grumps was the only one daring enough to hit the shops in the wee hours of the morning on Friday. He had already gone out, come back, dropped off and went back out before the rest of the house had even thought about waking up!

The girls really had a blast! They enjoyed every minute they were able to spend with Brylie and Collin. They got to go to a movie, go to Jump & Jive and have a couple slumber parties. They got to see snow too, which is always a plus!

It was a very relaxing weekend, which is just what we needed before all the craziness that December is going to bring.

Here are some pictures from the weekend...ENJOY!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I know it's a few days early, but we are heading out to Amarillo tomorrow so I just wanted to wish you all a very happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday!!!

Lunch with Michelle!!

Michelle came out to Frisco today for lunch and we had a GREAT time!! The girls had a blast with her. Gracie kept calling her Christie for some reason. I kept calling Gracie every name but Gracie so it was pretty funny.

Thanks for coming out Chelle, we really enjoyed it. We have to do it again soon!

Gracie's Choir Performance

Gracie had her 2nd church choir performance yesterday. She did GREAT!! The first service we always watch and the second service is where we take pictures/movies. This didn't work out in our favor this time, because she moved for the 2nd service and ended up behind the piano, but I thought I would share the pictures anyway.

Between services we were able to snap a few pictures of Lance and his Sunday School class.

We should be in by Christmas!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Good news! Our builder revamped the construction schedule and we should be able to close on our new house on December 21st. We just wanted the girls to wake up in their beds on Christmas morning and it looks like it is going to happen!!!

The inspection is today for the buyers on this house. We are praying that no major issues arise!!

Gwyneth's Turn!!

I signed Gwynie and I up for a parent/toddler gymnastics class. Today was the free "trial" class. She was super excited to wear one of sissy's leotards (that got shrunk in the wash). She was all into it until we stepped out on the floor of the gym. She immediately put the death leg grip on me and pretty much kept it the entire 45 minutes. The only thing she actually enjoyed doing was chasing a hula hoop and even that got old. The teacher was encouraging and said that it usually takes new kiddos a few weeks to get use to everything. A couple moms also told me that their kids didn't like their class at first either. I have to admit that I was surprised by Gwynie's reaction. She is so independent I just figured that she would get in there and take off. I think this was good for both of us. She may not like the class the first few times, but I think it is important to keep here involved so she doesn't depend on her sissy and mommy so much when it comes to playing with friends.

Here are a couple pictures of Gwynie in her leotard. She may not have liked her first gymnastics class, but she looked pretty darn cute!!!

Good News!!!!

We accepted an offer on our house last night!!! It seems almost surreal. We received a call for a showing on Saturday afternoon. Lance was out of town, so the girls and I drove around for an hour. About 5 minutes after we got home we got a call that the previous showing wanted come right back for a second showing. So the girls and I got right back in the car and left. We then found out yesterday that they had made an offer.

Everything has gone much more smoothly so far with this offer. The only glitch really is how quickly they want to close. We have to be out of the house by December 7th!!! They are closing on the house they sold on the 6th and want to close on this one the next day, which is completely understandable. However, our new house is not supposed to be ready to close until the end of December. That leaves us between houses for a couple of weeks. Highland, who is building our house, says they can have us in by the 7th. However, Lance and I both feel that we don't want them to risk quality on our home just to get it done. We told them to keep with their current schedule. We don't need to be in by the 7th, but if the girls could wake up in their beds Christmas morning that would be all we could ask for. I will keep you posted on the progress of all this. I'll also let you know if our family of 4 + a dog needs to crash on your couch for a couple days. ;)

Thank you for all of your prayers over the last couple of months, they have been a blessing.

God will provide...He always does!!!

Pardon Our Dust

Here are some pictures of the new house. They aren't showing much since the house is still a construction zone and the lights are not operational yet. Things are being completed everyday so I will post new pictures whenever we take new ones.

Our New House!!!

Yep, that's right...we signed a contract on a new house. It is a spec home in an area called Cobb Hill here in Frisco that is pretty far along, but still under construction. We were able to pick a lot of the interior finishes which we were happy about. We should be able to move in at the beginning of next year. We are VERY excited about everything!! And no we haven't sold this house yet, so keep us in your prayers.

I will take some actual pictures soon, but this will give you an idea of the house...
