SNOW!!!
We knew that some winter weather was moving into the Panhandle, but we were expecting it to hit Sunday afternoon after we were already headed back home. Well, much to our surprise we woke up Sunday morning to SNOW!!!
The girls were on cloud nine! They couldn’t believe it was actually snowing. The weather people were predicting 1/2” but it snowed all morning and I bet they ended up getting 3-4 inches.
The girls all ready to go play in the snow
The have a blast playing in the snow
Making of a Snowman…
We had a great time in the first snow of the year. I was glad the girls got to play in it. I figured it might be their one & only snow this year. But little did we know, they would get their 2nd snow in just a couple days…

Meeting Baby Coulter
We got into Amarillo and Grams had a delicious dinner waiting for us! After dinner we waiting patiently for Andy, Katy, Collin & Coulter’s arrival {We missed you Calvin and hope to see you soon}. We had only seen pictures of our nephew Coulter so we were excited to finally get to meet him. Lance was laughing at me because of the b-line I made to Coulter when they came in the house. {I didn’t push anyone out of the way or anything…I was just anxious to hold the precious little guy}. He’s Adorable!!!
Holding Coulter for the first time {Notice his “guns up”…I’m just sayin’}
Seriously…just look at that precious little face! {ignore the hideous OU shirt}

What’s More Fun Than a Pile of “Leaves”
Lance was trimming up the plants in the backyard, just trying to get it cleaned up before the cold weather starts. Of course the girls wanted to help him.
The girls job was to take the Pampas grass clippings and make a pile of them in the yard. After a few trips of adding to the pile the girls were dying to jump in it. They asked and Lance replied “sure, you will probably graduate from college before we have enough leaves to make an actual leaf pile”. HA! They couldn’t wait, but they were patient enough to let me get the camera.
The girls next to their pile of “leaves”
After a few jumps it was time to build the pile back up again. This was about the time that Gwynie decided it was too cold for her {Mommy was thinking that too, but pictures trump comfort, right?!?}.
Gracie make a “leaf” angel
They were a bit itchy after they got done. Gwynie was cured with a bath, but it turns out Gracie takes after her Daddy. The bath stopped most of the itching, but she needed a little bit of help from a dose of Benadryl.
The had a GREAT time! Who needs leaves anyway when you’ve got “leaves”?
