Happy Easter!!!!

I hope everyone had a great Easter!! We had a wonderful Easter Sunday!! We went to church this morning and then came home and the girls hunted the Easter eggs that the Easter bunny had hid outside. We had Easter lunch at our house this year. Nana, Paw Paw, Nate, Aunt Kathy & Uncle Tony all came over. Tony's parents and his grandmother came over and joined us for lunch too. It was great to see everyone!! Below are some pictures of the Easter festivities.

FYI - Due to my constant picture taking...Lance has dubbed me "The Scrapbook Paparazzi"!

Photos with Nate

This past Thursday Kathy and I decided to take the kids down to Kiddie Kandids and have their pictures together in their Easter outfits. They did GREAT!! I was a bit worried about everyone (mainly Gwynie) cooperating with the photographer. The worrying was all for not because it was probably the easiest photo session we have ever had. Pretty much every picture was taken in one shot. The photographer said smile and they did. I think the pictures turned out pretty cute.

Gracie's Class Easter Party!

Here are a few pictures from Gracie's class Easter party last week!

I'm officially a "Thirty-something"!

Well, I have to start saying that I am IN my thirties now, but I am at peace with that. I had a great birthday this year. Lance and the girls did so much to make it a special one for me. Gracie sang Happy Birthday to me several times through out the day and Gwynie kept saying, "Happy Mama Burday"...too cute! Gracie & Gwynie (and Lance) sent me beautiful flowers that Gracie picked out herself. Later in the afternoon Lance beat the girls and I home and had set out all my gifts on the fireplace so they would be there waiting for me. What was really special about the gifts was that Lance had bought plain brown gifts bags and he and the girls decorated them for me. It was VERY sweet!! They gave me so many beautiful outfits!!! Lance gave me a couple pairs of jeans that I have been wanting...I was very excited about that. Lance also arranged for a babysitter for Saturday night so he and I went to dinner and a movie. I got several cards, emails, phone calls and visits full of Birthday wishes. It was all just a great birthday weekend. Thanks to EVERYONE for making it such a special one this year!

Age-old Question - SOLVED!!!

Tonight while we were sitting at the table Lance asked Gracie what she learned about in school. She said, "Eggs".

Lance: "What did you learn about eggs?"
Gracie: "That the eggs come from chickens"
Lance: "Where do chickens comes from?"
Gracie: "Eggs"

Lance laughed and jokingly said, "Which came first the chicken or the egg?"

Gracie: "the chicken"
Lance: "Where did the chicken come from?"
Gracie: "from the egg"
Lance: "Where did the egg come from if there was no chicken yet"
Gracie (without missing a beat): "The Easter Bunny"

Well, it is a question I have pondered for years. I can rest better now that I know the answer!

Winter Wonderland!!!

It started snowing today about noon and didn't stop until about 5 o'clock. It was really coming down for a good 4 hours. The flakes were HUGE. It looked like snowballs coming out of the sky at one point. Lance came home early, right as the girls and I were headed out to play. We all had a fun time in the snow. Marty LOVES the snow...he was having a blast running around in it. Gwynie wasn't having that much fun. She was okay if you held her, but she didn't really want to be "in" the snow. Gracie was having a grand 'ol time making a snowman, making snow angels, having a snowball fight with Daddy and of course eating the snow.

It's SNOWING!!!

The girls were very excited Monday night when we got a call from Nana asking how the weather was. I said nothing going on here. Then Nana said, "Oh, really...it looked like it was snowing up there". Then I looked out the window...it WAS snowing. The girls watched it for several minutes. Then the next morning Gracie HAD to go outside to eat some. I am not sure why whenever she sees snow she wants to eat it. Anyway, that snow was gone by lunch time the next day, but the girls had fun having it around for a little while.

These last two pictures are from TODAY. It started snowing again around noon.

Wacky Wednesday!!!

Yesterday was Wacky Wednesday at Gracie's school. In celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday you were supposed to dress "wacky" and bring a Dr. Seuss book to share. Gracie really got into the wacky dress and she brought the "Horton and the Egg" book that Nana & Paw Paw gave her last time they were in town. She had a great day. Here are a few pictures.

Gwyneth's First Movie!!!

Saturday afternoon we decided to take BOTH of the girls to the movies. Gracie was very excited that Gwynie was going. We went and saw the Veggie Tales Movie: The Pirates That Don't Do Anything. It was pretty cute! Gwynie did GREAT!!! She sat in her own chair for about 3/4 of the movie. She played musical chairs between, Daddy, Mama and Sissy for the last 15 minutes or so, but she really did well. It was really neat to go to the movie as a family. We haven't done that since Gwynie was born. Well, this is the first of many more to come.

Gwynie with her very first movie ticket!

Gracie loves giving her ticket to the person at the entrance
