Conner's 4th B-Day Party!!

This morning was Conner's 4th birthday party and he had it at a local fire station. The girls had a BLAST!! They have been to a couple other fire station parties, but this one had a bit of a twist. One of the firemen was a friend of ours from church. I think Gracie got a kick out of watching him get all dressed up. Gwynie did okay until he put his helmet on...that was a bit too much for her. She came looking for Mama & Daddy at that point. Then during their presentation the fire station got an alarm and all the firemen had to leave. It was pretty exciting, but at the same time it was scary because we knew they were headed to Pizza Hut Park where all the local kids play their soccer games. The firemen did come back before the party ended and let us know the girl who got hurt, probably broke her collarbone, but is going to be okay. I have to say I was very impressed with how fast they left. Even though they were in the middle of presenting they were in the trucks and out of the station in a matter of seconds.

The girls got to see a fire truck, an ambulance and a HELICOPTER!!! It was all very cool and we had a great time!

Happy Birthday Conner!!!

Visit from Nana & Paw Paw

This past weekend Nana & Paw Paw came in town to visit. I had asked them to come a few weeks ago because I had planned on making drapes for the house and could use their help. Well, to make a long story short the fabric I FINALLY decided on didn't come through. The store didn't have enough in stock and it was on a 2 month back order. So needless to say, there was no curtains made (Sorry about that Mom & Dad). But, I think it was for the best because we ended up having a nice, relaxing visit. Nana & Paw Paw brought the fixings for cupcakes and the kids REALLY enjoyed baking them. Nate stayed the night too. We all had a great time. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Good Luck Mike & Kellie

One of the couples we went to Mexico with, Mike & Kellie, are moving to Nacogdoches this weekend. So last night we got the group together and took them out for a farewell dinner. As a gift we decided to give them a basket of gag gifts. Just certain things that reminded us of funny stories from the last few years. It was more of a Roast I guess. It was bitter sweet because they are leaving, but we had a really good time.

Afternoon at Castle Park!!!

Lance got away from work early this afternoon so that we could take the girls to the park. The girls had gone with me all morning to look for curtain fabric and were SO well behaved that they definitely deserved a fun treat. One of our favorite places to take the girls in town is what we call Castle Park. It has a different official name, but the playground looks like a castle so that is what Gracie named it. The girls LOVE it there, and so do we. Here are a few pictures of our afternoon.

Gracie's Valentine's Party!

Today was Gracie's Valentine's Party at school. Gwynie and I went up to the school too. We missed Daddy, but he is in Mississippi today. The girls had a great time! Gracie got all kinds of goodies and Gwyneth had a blast playing with all the classroom toys. There are quite of few siblings around her age so it works out well. Here are a few pictures from the party...

Family Night!!

Today we decided to take the girls to Gatti Town. We all had a great time. It was so nice just to spend an evening out together as a family with no place we had to be. I brought the camera along and was able to catch some cute pictures.

I Won...I Won...I Won!!!

Gracie was VERY excited on Friday afternoon because she won a gymnastics award. They handed out cards showing their progress in each exercise. It had an achivement ribbon in it and it might as well have been an Olympic Gold medal, she was so excited. She told me, "Mommy, I feel special because I got a ribbon today". So, I guess it did it's job, because she loves gymnastics class even more now. She keep singing this little ditty she made up, "I won...I won...I won, I won, I won!"

I'm going to Dinsey World!

She really likes her coach, Miss Mande

Gwynie kept saying, "I cheese...I cheese". So we made sure to take a picture of her with the award too. She definately deserves a sister dedication award!

Happy Birthday Kathy!!!

The girls and I just got back from Kathy's birthday dinner. Lance had to work, so it was just the girls and me. We had a great time!! Kathy has a wonderful group of friends. The girls and I hung out with Nate and Christie for most of the night. It was really good to see everyone.

Happy Birthday Kathy...We Love You!!!

Play Date with Conner & Garrett

Conner & Garrett came over this morning to play so that Tamie could run to a doctor appointment. The kids had a great time together. Gwynie was having a blast playing with Garrett, or "baby" as she calls him.

Garrett is such a cutie! Look at those dimples...too precious!!!!

Gwynie was Garrett's passie police. Any time she saw it out of his mouth, she made sure to give it back to him

Time for Swimming Lessons Again!

Gracie started up her new swimming lessons last week. I am hoping to start Gwynie in the next couple of months with a "mommy & me" class. We started going to a new location. This one doesn't let you in the pool area with the kids, so the pictures of Gracie are too far away to be able to tell which kiddo is her, however, I caught some cute ones of Gwynie while we waited...

Watching Sissy!

Hey there cutie!
Wow!!! I have pockets!!!
Now I will only walk around with my hand in my pockets
Precious!!!
